Quilted Landscape

 11.5"x 13.5" Quilted Landscape








This was a bunch of firsts for me.
My first attempt at:

• creating a scene in cloth (collage)
• quilting
• sewing with no foot on my sewing machine
• those fancy embroidery stitches
• "matting and framing" with no actual mat or frame

I had some trouble getting the thread tension right while doing the free motion machine quilting. It improved as I worked down. Guess I should have started with the hills and worked my way up. Oh well. Live and learn.

I had fun doing it and I think it turned out pretty well. What do you think?
